PVC film cladding for a swimming pool is the most optimal finishing option. It has a number of advantages:
- Easy to install.
- Strength.
- Durability.
- Wide range of colors.
- Affordable price.
Types of PVC film
PVC film comes in three types:
- Single-layer, up to 0.8 mm thick. Such a PVC film is usually used for finishing a frame collapsible pool. It is not intended for preservation in the cold season. But, despite this, it is quite strong and elastic. And therefore, the PVC film for pools is very simply stretched onto the base of the frame. It holds the volume of water well without deformation. It is also easy to dismantle and replace with a new one. Moreover, such a film can be bought in a standard size and there is no need to solder the edges. In addition, it is inexpensive to purchase. Usually, the PVC film for the pool is blue to create the effect of clean transparent water.
- Multi-layer. It is made of three layers of material, one and a half millimeters. Reinforced with polyester or Kevlar threads. It can be reinforced and unreinforced. The surface of such a film can be varnished or matte with a ribbed structure, which reduces the risk of injury. Used for finishing stationary pools and especially children’s pools. Excellent for pools that remain on the site for the winter. Does not crack during temperature drops.
- A membrane film made of butyl rubber material. It resembles high-quality linoleum. It bends and cuts well. This material has a very strong structure. Therefore, it is used to line large-sized pool bowls for public swimming areas.
Simple, affordable, beautiful
PVC-based pool films withstand high and low temperatures, so they are very popular when finishing stationary pools. Moreover, if the pool bowl cracks over time, the film will hold all the water. And such a pool does not need to be dismantled. What can you say about the tiles, the deformation of the bowl will, of course, cause a microcrack in it. And here a film coating will come to the rescue again, with which you can restore the pool right on top of the damaged tiles. And your pool will be like new again. The service life of the film is up to 10 years.
The pool in the film will look very harmonious, especially since the color scheme is very diverse. From soft beige and green to sky blue, and also in the form of a mosaic.
